The Anchorage Curling Foundation (ACF) invites curlers of all experience levels to participate in the annual Turkey Shoot on Saturday, March 1st at 6 p.m., at the Anchorage Curling Club! A $25 minimum donation will include entry, dinner, live music and a chance to win fabulous prizes. Get ready to gobble gobble!
The Turkey Shoot is a skills competition, with everyone participating as an individual trying to cook the competition. The first 32 curlers to stuff the registration pool will be entered into a single-elimination tournament. Four stones are thrown each round (2 take-outs and 2 draws), with points awarded for different shots. The player gobbling up the most points moves on to the next round until a new winger is crowned!
This event is to raise funds and awareness for the ACF's mission - to provide programs, equipment, coaching, and grants to enducate and promote the sport of curling in Anchorage. This is the fifth ACF Turkey Shoot - join us and try to baste the competition!

The ACC is hosting its third women-only bonspiel to celebrate women in curling and to support the community of Alaskan women! Last year was a hit, so let's do it again ladies!
The event will be a 1-day bonspiel with teams formed by drawing from a hat. If you really want to play with a specific person, write their names in the comment box and we should be able to accommodate that. Games will be 4-6 ends depending on the number of teams.
Costumes are encouraged! I mean after all, girls just wanna have fun, right?
In addition to a day of curling, wine tasting will be provided by awesome volunteers of the ACC. Dinner will be poluck style, so whip out those favorite recipes that you've been dying to share!
Note that if you want to participate in wine tasting, there will be an additional fee to pay at the bar that day.
The entry fee is a variable price following 3 recommendations:
