Rookie Spiel (Kung Fu Fighting)

Press your Gis and tie your belts, the Kung-Fu Fighting Rookie Bonspiel needs some athletes!

This Bonspiel is a fun curling event targeted for those who are new to the game or have 3 years or less curling experience. It is a great chance for fresh and slightly seasoned curlers to get into bonspiel competition while maintaining that learning environment. The theme for this spiel is Kung-Fu Fighting so practice your katas and bow to your sensei!

Register individually or as a team. Open team format (men, women, youth, or mixed) with four or five curlers per team. Teams can request an experienced player to play in the Lead position if your team is short on curlers, however we would like at least 2 new curlers per team.  

Registration is free for Fall 2024 Learn to Curl participants using the discount code provided at the event or sent to you by e-mail. Otherwise, the cost is $35/person or $140/team. 

Game length is four ends or 1.5 hours, whichever comes first. Minimum guarantee of two games. Maximum of 16 teams (up to 80 curlers). Registration for this event closes on Jan 10th or when 16 teams have signed up, whichever comes first.
